Editors’ Report

The four issues of Volume 116 of The Scandinavian Journal of Economics,

published in 2014, contain 40 contributions. Of these, 30 are regularly sub-

mitted articles; 9 are published in our special issue, “International Financial

Linkages and Crises”; and 1 is a presentation of the 2013 recipients of the

Bank of Sweden Prize for Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.

Excluding the special issue papers and the Nobel material, the average

time from submission to acceptance of final version was 15.3 months.

The average time from receipt of final version to print publication was

15.3 months.

During 2014, we received 0 special issue submissions and 323 regular

submissions (58 Nordic and 265 non-Nordic). As of December 31, 2014,

final decisions had been made on 290 submissions. Including the overlap

from the previous year and including only regular submissions, 260 papers

were rejected in 2014; the ratio of published-to-submitted articles was

0.09; the ratio of rejected-to-submitted papers was 0.81; the average time

to rejection in the first round was 2.70 months; and the average time to

first decision was 3.21 months.
