Editors’ Report

The four issues of Volume 117 of The Scandinavian Journal of Economics,

published in 2015, contain 42 contributions. Of these, 28 are regularly

submitted articles; 13 are published in our special issue, “Migration and

Development”; and 1 is a presentation of the 2014 recipient of the Bank

of Sweden Prize for Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.

Excluding the special issue papers and the Nobel material, the average

time from submission to acceptance of final version was 17.2 months. The

average time from receipt of final version to print publication was 16.5

months.

During 2015, we received 8 special issue submissions and 255 regular

submissions (60 Nordic and 195 non-Nordic). Including only regular sub-

missions, the ratio of published-to-submitted articles was 0.16; the average

time to first decision was 3.71 months; the average time to rejection in the

first round was 3.55 months. We required six months or more to make a

first decision on 11.11 percent of the regular submissions.
